Whine of the Day: Moveon.org formalizes whining to Fox

Here's the latest on Fox from Moveon.org. Hey, the Terrorist Fist Bump was a joke, right? Right??? Over 428,000 people have signed a petition telling FOX to stop their racist and hate-filled smears against Barack Obama. If we hit half-a-million signatures, we can draw media attention and put pressure on FOX's advertisers. Plus, Robert Greenwald's Brave New Films just released a video documenting FOX's ongoing smears against Michelle Obama. Please check out the video, and then sign the petitio… Continue

A Truly Serious Whiner. No Flag for Helms.

| newsobserver.com | He quit rather than lower flag for Helms Monday, July 14, 2008 Monday, July 14, 2008 Ryan Teague Beckwith, Staff Writer RALEIGH - L.F. Eason III gave up the only job he'd ever had rather than lower a flag to honor former U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms. Eason, a 29-year veteran of the state Department of Agriculture, instructed his staff at a small Raleigh lab not to fly the U.S. or North Carolina flags at half-staff Monday, defying a directive sent to all state agencies by Gov. If We Are to be a Nation of Whiners, We Should be Number One!

Second place in the war for whining is just another way of saying "loser." If we are to win the war for whining, we must start spending more on whining now! What steps do we need, what people in positions of authority, do we need? We know who our real world class whiners are. Folks who really do have it good and yet find something to whine about where there is no possible harm to be done. Yes, we are talking about those folks who wage the war against gay marriage. Come on, whiners, give it up fo… Continue

Gramm was right!

Phil Gramm Is Right (for full story... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/07/11/AR2008071102543.html?hpid=opinionsbox1 By Amity Shlaes Saturday, July 12, 2008; Page A13 "In serious consideration for ambassador to Belarus." Hannity to America: Whiners, whiners, whiners. (Even Gingrich disagrees.)

Yes! Gingrich and Hannity in a catfight over Gramm! Sort of like Ultimate Fighters/Far Right Featherweight Division. Or "When Good Right Wing Dogs Go Bad." For those of you who fear a schism, they come together and whine about how we should be drilling for oil in the Rockies, the Pacific, and the Alaskan Wilderness. Sort of like a Woody Guthrie song scored over one of those Energy Independence ads. "This land was made for you and me..." COLMES: Doesn't Mr. McCain — Senator McCain have a… Continue

Who is the mystery owner of www.nationofwhiners.com ? And why does it redirect to McCain's Campaign?

If you type in www.nationofwhiners.com, you get a "redirect" that takes you to McCain's campaign page. Hey, it wasn't me. I tried to buy it. If you go on whosit, the directory of url's, you find .... no one. Just that it was bought on July 10. So unfair! (Had to whine.) But you have to think. Is this a democrat directing traffic to McCain's site as an ironic statement? Or a non-whiner Republican who thinks it's a plus? Bob Continue

Does the right want a depression for all the whiners?

There was serious discussion in the 1980's among some conservative thinkers, Bork prominent among them. What the nation needed was a moral rebirth. And how would we get it? A resurgence of religious fervor, public discussions about morality, a cataclysmic war, or a depression. To be fair to Bork, he favored the first two on practical grounds because World War III and a replay of the Great Depression are "social policies lacking broad support." But when you look back over the last 16 years of gov… Continue
